# Adding the Bass Drum
So now we're going to add in the **bass drum**, but we're actually going to take away the **snare drum**.
This will give you a chance to get used to those constant **hi-hats**.
**Instructions:**
- Play the bass drum as written
- Focus on beats one and three
**Counting:**
1. **One**
2. **Two**
3. **Three**
4. **Four**
