# Exploring New Grooves and Fills

I hope you've enjoyed developing a different range of grooves and experimenting with some new drum fills as well.

We're certainly seeing quite a few variations on drum grooves:

- Not always playing the snare on two and four, which is good.
- It's beneficial to practice sometimes just playing the hi-hat and bass drum on all the quarter notes.

This helps in not being surprised by a fill that can incorporate:

- Eighth notes
- Quarter notes
- Variations between the snare and the bass drum

Overall, I think it's been really good for our development.
