Paddy Milner stars in upcoming music documentary ‘The Session Man’
MusicGurus artist and instructor Paddy Milner features in an upcoming film celebrating the incredible career of session pianist Nicky Hopkins.
On September 25th, the North American premiere of 'The Session Man', a highly anticipated documentary on legendary session musician Nicky Hopkins, was held in New York.
The event was hosted in collaboration with MusicGurus and Berklee College of Music.
With an all-star turnout, including iconic musicians Peter Frampton, Dave Davies, and producer Chris Kimsey, as well as special guest May Pang, the evening was filled with music lovers and supporters of Hopkins' legacy.
MusicGurus is especially proud that the film features our very own artist and instructor, Paddy Milner, who is celebrated in 'The Session Man' as a champion of the Blues and Boogie-woogie styles that Nicky helped popularised.
Following the screening, a Q&A panel with Frampton, Kimsey, and filmmaker Mike Treen offered insight into ongoing efforts to secure Nicky Hopkins' induction into both the Musicians Hall of Fame in Nashville and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, recognising his extraordinary contributions to rock and roll.
'The Session Man' is available to audiences across North America on Amazon Prime and additional major platforms, with a DVD release set for late 2024.
A UK and Europe release date is soon to be announced.
