Sing, mouthpiece, play
This exercice was adapted from a similar one showed to Gerard by Nikolaj Viltoft, solo trumpet player in the Royal Danish Opera House. Some of these technical approaches are really useful when you're trying to get up and down the trumpet - improvising for example, or playing horn lines with a reallly specific rhythmic placement. Gerard plays this 3 times per week.
