In this video, Goetz explains the main things to think about before even starting to mix: thinking of what you want to achieve, Working with all the people involved including the composer, making a cue sheet & identify key cues, identifying your stems, and finding out how the session needs to be delivered to the dub.
About the instructor
In the early nineties, I trained at Swanyard Recording Studios, assisting for top producers like Flood, Alan Moulder and Tom Lord-Alge. I started to cut my teeth recording and mixing dance and Acid Jazz Bands of the 90’s Incognito, Galliano, Soul to Soul and many others.
